GBRUnion - Embedded Option

When the output geometry requires an island area there are several ways of creating the island. The preferred method varies depending on the output format and the target software.

island formed by embedding clear inside of dark

One way to form an "island" is to embed the clear polygon inside of the parent dark polygon. For Gerber output this is done by creating additional internal layers using the LPD (layer polarity dark) and LPC (layer polarity clear) directives.

If needed additional dark and clear layers can be defined.

One call also use LPD/LPC named layers in AutoCAD DXF; however AutoCAD does not provide filled view and clearing that one gets in Gerber output.
