Possible Cause for Flexlm Error -97

One of our clients reported an error when trying to install one of our packages in floating mode. The error occurred on the client side even though the server was up and running and all the licenses were available.

Solution

The solution is to install re-distributable libraries.

Procedure

Download the Redistribution Library

vc_redist_2015.x64.exe Windows 64 bit , 15 MB

vc_redist_2015.x86.exe Windows 32 bit , 14 MB

Once downloaded, execute the self extracting file. You will need administrative privileges to do this.
