Plotting to HP's 8500 Color Laser Jet

One of our customers recently installed an HP 8500 Color LaserJet and attempted to use Artwork's HP1200 driver to create color output. This did not work well at all.

After checking the HP supplied Windows printer driver we noted that it did not send RTL to this laser but instead sent Postscript.

Therefore we recommend that when using this machine you configure GDSVU, GBRVU or other view/plot utilities with Postscript Level II output. We've tested this output and find that it works well.
