Resolve Error -5011 by Installing Microsoft VC 2008 Redistributable

Several errors can occur when installing our programs if the VC 2008 Redistributable libraries from Microsoft are not installed. Some of the errors can occur during the installation of our tools. Here is a typical error message during the installation:

Solution

The solution to this type of error is to install the Microsoft VC 2008 32 bit redistributable library; then re-run the installation.

Procedure

Download the Redistribution Library

You can download the required redistributable library from Artwork's ftp server

vcredist_x64_2008SP1.exe     64 bit, 5.1 MB

vcredist_x86_2008SP1.exe     32 bit, 4.4 MB

Once downloaded, execute the self extracting file. You will need administrative privileges to do this.

The installer crash requires that the 32 bit version of the 2008 redistributable be installed.
