Sample EMAIL Request

Dear Steve or Hagai,

I would like to evaluate your ASM 870 program on HP 700 running
HPUX 10.2. I've already picked it off your ftp site. Please send
me the unzippingpassword. I got the keystrings using the command:

   $ uname -a

Please send me temporary key strings for:

    hostid = 20056789ab    hostname = bogusboy

I need it to test transfer of files from Cadence to CATIA via IGES.

Thanks much,

Unzipping on UNIX

The UNIX releases are zipped using a shareware version of unzip that supports passwords.If your UNIX version of unzip does not support passwords please download the one available below: Note: Don't use the pkunzip or winzip on a PC to extract the files and then move them to your UNIX box. The PC versions will corrupt the file name case and make the INSTALL script unusable.

zip_sunos.tar500 Kb zip_hp700.tar 375 Kb zip_solaris.tar 389 Kb

untar it into your /usr/local/bin or somewhere in your PATH. Once installed in your PATH you can simply use it by typing:unzip filename. This program is compatible with PKZIP compression used on PCs.

Installing UNIX Software

After unzipping you will have the same set of program files that you would have obtained from tape by using the tar command. Look for the script file INSTALL and execute by typing:

$  ./INSTALL  [enter]
If this is the first time you are installing ASM 400 or 410 we recommend that you download the installation instructions chp2.pdf and read them prior to starting.
