Markers

A Marker is a small symbol indicating a reference point for SREF's (structure or cell insertions) or Text or even for Entities.

Structure or Cell Markers

These identify the insertion point of each structure (cell). Note that the insertion point of a structure need not be inside of the structure's actual physical extents

. structure markers

The small white diamonds indicate a structure reference marker. Using the Info tool and selecting a structure marker will outline the structure's extents with a narrow box and the insertion properties will be shown in the message pane.

Entity Markers

Entity markers are small symbols placed on the first vertex of the entity (boundary or path) They are only useful when zoomed in to very high magnification -- otherwise overlapping markers cover the display window.
