Identifying the Machine's HostidDownload the hostinfo.linux.tar utility and extract it into the directory of your choice. Then execute it. You should create an empty directory to hold it (the location is your choice) and extract the tar file into that directory. Assuming the password was correctly typed in, the zipped image will be extracted. inflating: areafill32 inflating: demo1.gds inflating: gdsfont.shx inflating: liseater inflating: tiletest.gds extracting: version.txt ---------------------------------------------------------- For new install, you need to install keycodes to activate areafill32. For upgrade, you do not need to reinstall keycodes. Install keycodes? (y/n)y LicensingIf this is a new installation you will need to enter the license strings which allow execution of the program. There are two different ways of securing the program - node locked to a single computer, and a network floating license using FLEXLM. You should know which type of license was ordered -- entering the incorrect option will prevent you from executing the program. LICENSING MODE SELECTION This product can be licensed using either network or node locked licensing schemes. Each scheme uses a different keycode format: a) FLEXlm licenses use a proprietary format. You should obtain and install a FLEXlm license on your license server before performing this step. b) Node lock license strings are in the form of: Seven 7-character strings on a line begin with token: !#ACS. !#ACS OPJTYKR WjnITOX OVVGfOf KVnIdVM WVJOedi WJVULVc cVVRQJM In this example we assume you have ordered and received a node-locked license Install for (a)network or (b)node lock licensing? (a/b)b The INSTALL script will search for any existing key strings. In this example, since it is an initial install, it does not find any. ===================== Keycodes installed ===================== | | -- none -- | ================================================================ The INSTALL script will now request that the user enter a license string. We highly recommend that you do not attempt to type in the strings - use some form of copy and paste ...
