AutoCAD 3D Output from NETEX-G

It is not possible for NETEX-G to automatically write an AutoCAD 3D file in DXF or DWG format because the 3D entities are encrypted. This may be due to the fact that AutoCAD licenses the ACIS 3D database from Spatial Technologies.

However all is not lost. We can work around this problem by using an AutoCAD module we've developed called NETEXIN that reads the NETEX-G ASCII file and using the data in the ASCII file to create the 3D entities from internal AutoCAD commands.

The stackup information at the beginning of the NETEX-G output tells NETEXIN the Z thickness and position of each layer.
