Gerber File Requirements

Netex operates on Gerber files with the following rules:

• must be RS274X. If you have RS274D then you will need to convert them to RS274X. This can be done with a Gerber CAM program.
  
  

• All Gerber files much share the same units, format, and zero suppression.
  
  

• All Gerber files must be aligned (i.e. you cannot shift individual layers to line them up.)
  
  

• All Gerber files must share a common set of apertures. That is D10 on one file cannot be 0.010 round and D10 on the next file be 0.015 round.
