STIF is the map format used by ST Microelectronics. It is a fully featured map file with data for all the parameters normally needed to process a wafer. We will be converting it to SEMI-E142 in this example.
Start the program by double clicking on the WaferMap Convert shortcut. The main dialog should open.
Now use the drop downs to set your input format to STIF and your output format to SEMI-E142.
Use the Input | Browse... button and navigate to the file you wish to convert. In this case it is a file of type STIF.
The dialog should now look like this:
Now click on the Scan button.
A new dialog should appear:
While the Layout ID does not really affect anything, it is a required field for E142 so we must put something there. Normally we use the Lot ID, which in this case is: G725428. But one can put any string here.
If we want to review or change the bin code mapping, we can then press Configure.
We want to make two changes to the bin code mapping. For the null bin we want to use a "." instead of the "~" used by STIF. We also want to change the "+" used by STIF for reference devices to a "R".
Click OK to save the changes and revert to the previous dialog. Then click on Convert.
The resulting E152 file looks like this:
