If you are doing a field analysis on a IC package or board you may need to focus on only a few nets out of the hundreds or thousands that are part of the design. When focusing on a particular net you will also need to know what other nets are close enough to have an effect on the capacitance and inductance of the net you are analyzing. NETEX-G can produce such an output.

One specifies the desired net and which nearby geometry is extracted using the Extract Dialog. The subsequent pages of this section describe how this process works.
